NURSERY

Our Irthlingborough nursery has been running since July 2016. It is a converted house which really adds to our family feel. We can have up to 48 children each day spread across our 3 areas.

The nursery is close to the A6 and A45 meaning that our children come from Irthlingborough and the surrounding villages. Please come and look round any time before 11.30am or after 2pm!

Our fees and extra-curricular activities are listed below!

IRTHLINGBOROUGH

This group is 0-2 years. The babies have three dedicated rooms as well as their own garden.

They have a dedicated quiet room where the children can sleep during the day in cots or on mats, or explore the black and white area specifically designed for babies. Another room focuses on physical play and messy activities throughout the entire day. The last room is for all of our naturals play and heuristic exploration where babies can really develop their sense of self. There is also a small nappy changing area adjoined to this room.

Staff ratio = 1:2 or 1:3 when babies are over 7 months of age

butterfly BUTTERFLY BABIES

This group is 2-3 years. The children have one open area meaning that all areas of learning are available to them throughout the day. Messy play, the large sand pit and the discovery area are favourites in this room. The children have free-flow access into their sensory garden complete with a messy mud kitchen and herb area! The children have a small bathroom with nappy changing facilities, potties and toilets available to them.

Staff ratio = 1:4

RED LADYBIRDS dashes ladybird

This group is 3-5 years. The pre-school children have 2 spacious rooms with free-flow access into their garden. The first room is where all of their imaginative play takes place along with a cosy book area. The second room is where all of their messy play and cooking activities take place with a food area. The garden then has a mud kitchen, pirate boat, sandpit and much more! The children have access to toilets or nappy changing facilities for those who still need it.

Staff ratio = 1:8

unicorn payment of fees

Full fees are payable for any time that your child is absent from nursery or the nursery is closed for any reason.

The nursery will be closed on Bank Holidays and 3-5 days at Christmas for which there will be no reduction in fees. These sessions may be used at an alternative time with no charge.

Extra sessions are subject to availability and cannot be swapped for your standard sessions. Extras are charged at the normal rate and do not receive any discounts, they will appear on your next invoice.

One month’s notice IN WRITING is required to cancel or reduce any sessions otherwise charges will remain.

Fees will be reviewed in March each year.

Support with childcare costs

Unfortunately childcare is expensive to buy because it’s expensive to provide. Highly qualified staff, ratios, increases in the National Living Wage and staff pensions all impact on staff costs – arguably the biggest outlay for any setting.  Add to this increases in costs associated with running any business: utilities, rates, training, maintenance, consumables (to name a few) and it’s clear that quality provision for our little ones doesn’t come cheap!

2 YEAR OLD FUNDING

The eligibility checker is on Northamptonshire County Council website.

This is available for 15 hours term time only the term after their 2nd birthday. You may choose any of the sessions above to make up your 15 hours. There are no extra charges applied to 2 year old funding and this continues throughout your time at nursery.

3 & 4 YEAR OLD FUNDING

Children will become eligible for universal funding for 15 hours the term after their 3rd birthday. Parents do not need to do anything to apply for this funding as long as nursery has all the relevant details. The extended entitlement (30 hours) is then for those children who have both parents working over 16 hours per week.
